Waiting on Wednesdays – The Spirit Thief by: Rachel Aaron

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted atBreaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This book has the most sexy cover ever. Okay maybe not, but it totally reminds me of what I think Sherlock Holmes looks like in the Laurie R King series, and sort of looks like Sherlock Holmes from the most recent movie. And that is what totally sold me on the cover.

Summary:

Eli Monpress is talented. He’s charming. And he’s a thief.

But not just any thief. He’s the greatest thief of the age – and he’s also a wizard. And with the help of his partners – a swordsman with the most powerful magic sword in the world but no magical ability of his own, and a demonseed who can step through shadows and punch through walls – he’s going to put his plan into effect.

The first step is to increase the size of the bounty on his head, so he’ll need to steal some big things. But he’ll start small for now. He’ll just steal something that no one will miss – at least for a while.

Like a king.

Release Date: October 1, 2010

And there is thiefy goodness in a fantasy world with magic.  This things has all kinds of awsome screaming for it.  Also – keep your eyes open for the next two wednesdays as this author got what looks like a Break Weeks deal on the releases of her books.
