Waiting on Wednesday – The Death Cure by: James Dashner

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

The Death Cure by: James Dashner

Release date: October 11, 2011

Thomas knows that Wicked can’t be trusted, but they say the time for lies is over, that they’ve collected all they can from the Trials and now must rely on the Gladers, with full memories restored, to help them with their ultimate mission. It’s up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.

What Wicked doesn’t know is that something’s happened that no Trial or Variable could have foreseen. Thomas has remembered far more than they think. And he knows that he can’t believe a word of what Wicked says.

The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine.
Will anyone survive the Death Cure?

So I had warmish feelings about the first couple of books.  But I still NEED to know what happened.  I understand that going into this book it will be more about the action and plot than the depth of characterizations that I normally enjoy.  However, I think it will be an awesome ending, or at the very least an ending I must experience.

  1. I still need to catch up on this series. It sounds very exciting and the cover looks very epic. Hope it is a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy for you. Not too long to wait either – yay!
